The Kitchen
Your kitchen had me doing a double take because it looks so purposefully designed and has so many qualities I love already. Nothing structurally made me think you would ever need another major renovation, but I see how you are still left wanting with a few elements of your space.
Your main concern seemed to be selecting paint colors that would coordinate. My suggestion for the taupe-y neutral cabinet color would be Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee. It really earned its name by being the most creamy and airy of the off-whites.
Here are my recommendations:
Shift your cabinets up to the ceiling
This can be done by removing the cabinet and remounting it higher so it almost touches the ceiling and then using cabinet crown to fill in the rest of the space
Tile the full wall around your windows and above your sink
I love the zellige tiles you selected for the backsplash but they aren’t given enough space to be a show stopper
Bridge style unlacquered brass faucet
I purchased mine off Etsy and I have really loved its natural patina over time - here is similar one
Add sconces over each window
I am a sconce fiend and if I see an empty wall I am immediately thinking lighting - I like this one from Shades of Light because it kind of brings in some of that blue hue as a nod to your old cabinet color
You mentioned you’re painting your whole kitchen so if that means the walls as well my recommendation to go with the Swiss Coffee cabinets would be Benjamin Moore’s Simply White
The ceiling beam that cuts through your cabinets has so much potential
Box the beam in with reclaimed wood or even hardware store planks and that would bring some natural texture into the kitchen, making the existing beam feel like a feature instead of an obstacle you have to work around
Remove the cabinets near the door
If you do the box beam I think we would have to remove the wine rack and cabinet to the right of the microwave (and even if you don’t box in the beam I would remove these two)
Pottery Barn has these cool floating shelf wine racks and a product like that could go perfectly in that spot
In your rendering I’ve added this floral rug from Zara Home if you’re looking for something new
I hope these tips can provide you with next steps or even just the confidence to feel like you are able to make your kitchen a space you will love.
